Dr. Vijayakumar Rajendran

Myself Dr. Vijayakumar Rajendran, a distinguished protein scientist with a robust background in gene cloning, protein expression, purification, and structural biology techniques. I earned my Doctorate in Biochemistry from North-Eastern Hill University and has since contributed significantly to the field through roles as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Madras.

My research focuses on the structural and functional characterization of proteins, particularly those from Helicobacter pylori, for structure-based drug discovery. My expertise extends to computer-aided drug discovery and protein biophysics, where I have utilized computational tools to analyse protein structures and design novel therapeutics.
